ABOUT BLUE AGAVE

The valuable raw material “agave azul” has its origins in the fields of some areas of Mexico, with certain qualities and specific conditions, that describe it as an authentic plant with indescribable value. The extracted syrup is widely used in cooking for its sweetening properties, 25% higher than that of refined white sugar with a very low glycemic index, hence suitable for diabetic people or anyone who suffers of high blood sugar. Composed mainly of agave inulin, a prebiotic that belongs to the family of fibers known as fructans. It is a prebiotic fiber extracted from the agave plant, highly soluble and brings many health benefits. Agave is also used as herbal remedy, in its powder from which teas and tinctures are extracted. Agave powder can either be internally or externally used for its digestive, toning, detoxicating and diuretic properties.
